Katie & Michael got married at the new Black Iris Estate (formerly the Mansion at Oak Hill) on April 23 ,2016. Their wedding was the first wedding at the new venue as the Black Iris Estate! The renovations on the venue were stunning!
The girls got ready at the Renaissance Indianapolis North Hotel which is beautiful as always. I love the red chair and the mirror they had in the room. The guys got ready at the Black Iris Estate upstairs in the groom’s room.
I have known Katie for a few years now and when she called me from Washington DC where she lives and asked if I could photograph her wedding in Indiana, I was happy to do so! Michael and Katie were SO easy to work with and their love for each other showed in every moment.
Everything from the venue to the dress (from Anthro), the flowers, the details, the planning – was all perfection. The reception was epic. Purdue Pete showed up as a surprise to the bride and groom! There was lots of fun held by the fraternity and sorority Katie & Michael were in. Let’s not forget the sparklers, break dancing and Budweiser jacket! Go ahead and check out the photos!
