A Merry COVID Wedding

Since COVID has crept up into our lives, weddings have looked so different. You have to plan to around how many guests your state allows you to have, restrictions on venue, wear masks, and stay 6 feet away from people. Many couples have postponed their wedding in hopes of normalcy next year, other have had backyard weddings with just close relatives. Small backyard weddings were so popular in 2020. I wasn’t sure at first how to navigate a wedding like this without all the stress and timelines…ha! Backyard weddings were a nice change and actually really fun to photograph. They were all small and intimate with so much love.

Samantha and Max had their wedding on August 1, 2020. They had to completely change the location and date due to COVID. They had pushed their wedding back several months then decide to go ahead and get married at the property of Max’s parents overlooking Lake Maxinkuckee. It was just gorgeous! They even streamed their wedding so all friends and family could watch their ceremony. We also went to Culver Academies to take the wedding party photos – no one was on campus so it was perfect for photos. It may have rained a little but nothing that would stop these two from getting married.
